I posted these photos on my Instagram a while ago, but I'm so in love with the photos - I had to share more! My friend Alyssa and I go out and play in Brooklyn on a regular basis. I take an outfit, she takes her camera, and we go to town. Our relationship is different than your typical blogger/photographer collaboration, because she's my closest friend and partner in crime on all accounts. We truly can make fun out of any situation (and these situations are the most fun for us, especially if there's wine involved).
I felt like a badass Cinderella who just broke out of jail on this mild February morning. Spinning around on the Williamsburg bridge just seemed like a normal activity, even if it confused/annoyed runners, bikers and commuters.
My 16 year old self dreamt of this Carrie Bradshaw-esque moment and I realize that I take this city I live in for granted sometimes. From my first visit to New York until I was 23 years old, I wanted nothing else in the world. I just wanted to live in New York. I sacrificed friendships and jobs and relationships for this moment. And dancing in a princess skirt is just a bonus.
