cat suit sunday

The beloved cat suit is back, California style. I bought this while living in New York and I just can't toss it. My love (actually, my unhealthy obsession) with cats is the obvious point of wearing this outfit, but let me tell you, I outwardly loved cats before loving cats was cool. I'm like a cat-loving hipster snob. That's about it.

Also, the fact that they're little orange kitties on oxblood fabric doesn't hurt.

Would you take your obsession this far?

leopard layers

My very favorite vintage find is this faux fur leopard coat. I found it at a flea market back in Ohio for $20 and it has the most fantastic orange lining! It works in the freezing temps of 50 degrees out here in LA. In all seriousness, 50 degrees feels like 20 when you've been living here for long enough!

Layered with destructed jeans and a striped satin top, the mixing of prints and textures was great on this chilly day.

What's your favorite vintage find?

the harem shuffle

I LOVE harem pants. I don't think I'll ever not love them. In fact, I think I'm going to dedicate this Valentine's Day to harem pants. They're modern, casual, and comfortable. You can wear them with sneakers or heels. Did I mention they're comfortable? Anyway, I love harem pants.

When I started wearing harem pants I was working for a line called Clover Canyon. Beautiful pieces, and they look good with harem pants. That's where my love started. I've recently started wearing them with my black booties and they're a good dressy addition. I strolled around LA in this look and was happy as could be.

Would you wear harem pants?

Sprout by HP: A Valentine CIY

I'm all about a little love, so Valentine's Day is right up my alley in the holiday department. I decided to show you some of the reasons why I LOVE Valentine's Day (aside from love, because that's clearly the biggest reason) using my Sprout by HP!

I scanned all of these items in seperately and created my own Valentine layouts. There are a million amazing things you can do with this unbelievable creative station. I explained the Sprout in this pervious post and said "The Sprout by HP ditches the keyboard and mouse and brings creativity to life with two displays, one is a 23 inch touch screen monitor, the other a 20 inch interactive mat. The PC (yes, a PC!) is decked out with 3 cameras so you can scan anything your heart desires - it's even equipped with a 3D scanner so you can send your creations to your 3D printer. HP describes the Sprout as an "immersive computing platform", and I think I have to agree." My opinion still stands!

Cupcakes, candy, and a nice little cocktail are only a few reasons why I like to celebrate Valentine's Day.

Why do you love Valentine's Day?
