Although my NYC posts are running short, I’m excited to
start streaming my looks from my recent LA move. The weather here is incredible
(duh) and it gives me tons of excuses to layer in a more creative way than I
could in New York even when the weather was mild. I’ll get to that when you see
those looks, though.
While putting together this outfit, I learned a lesson. For
being a petite girl, I have yet to shed off my soccer thighs from playing for
13+ years. Even though my last competitive game was forever ago, the bodacious
silhouette has stuck around. I’m not complaining, no way! BUT, for something
like a leopard print pair of pants, I have to be careful. Most prints can be
pulled off seamlessly if you’re skin and bones, but something like an animal
print wrapped around a big booty can come off a little suggestive or even
trashy. Hey, I’m just being honest. Making an animal print on my bottom half
look casual took quite a few wardrobe changes and my conclusion was an
oversized sweater in a color that reads anything but “sexy”.
Wearing my favorite cozy sweater and soft leopard pants were
more than enough to make me happy on the way to breakfast!
