leopard and lace

An evening dinner and walk with one of my favorite girlfriends was just what I needed. We ate yummy sandwiches, watched breakdancing and street fighting, and had a nice long life chat on the steps of Union Square. The best friends you can find are ones you can open up to about absolutely anything, and I'm so thankful I have a few of those!

Colored lace was huge this summer and I had to give it one last run before the boots and scarves came out. I love mixing orange with leopard, too!

wrapping up

It was the last summer-like weekend in the city, which means it had to be spent at the park with a blanket, some snacks, and good company! I love to pair girly pieces with something a little more edgy.

away we go

I'm not going to lie. It was the middle of the day and I was just going down the street to get frozen yogurt. Regardless, I wanted to wear heels with my dress - the color just felt right (can you blame me?). If you're apprehensive of mixing prints, stay within the black and white color palette before you branch out. After that, add florals and different colors!

guns and flowers

One of my favorite ways to style prints is to pair something edgy with something super feminine. I scored this floral skirt a couple years ago for super cheap in Ohio from Urban Outfitters. Florals came back strong the past 2 years, so I'm glad I kept this skirt around. The tank is from a little shop along the boardwalk in Venice Beach. The perfect little outfit for some frozen yogurt while roaming the East Village!
